The Little House

Decorated with a "modern cottage" theme, the Little House at Stoney Bottom is a charming 2-bedroom/1 bath home. It features a living room and study, a country kitchen, and a dining area that opens onto a private west-facing deck overlooking rolling lawns, gardens, and a scene-stealing ancient old-growth tree. 

Traveling with a bigger party? We have a gorgeous cottage, perfect for 2, on the property available for rent as well. 

The space

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, faux wood stove, additional private deck, wireless chargers, and a large closet. The cozy second bedroom has two twin beds, wireless chargers, and a closet. There are mirrors and ample lighting in each bedroom - no waiting for the bathroom to be free to get ready.

The living room has a TV, record player, couch and chairs. If you'd like to add some seating, you can bring in a beanbag or two from the "study" - a common area with a desk that can be used for working or reading.

The bathroom has a shower and bathtub with spa jets. We highly recommend enjoying a soak once or twice during your stay.

The kitchen has a gas range and oven, microwave, coffee maker (with tea and coffee of course), and full size refrigerator. The kitchen is in between the living room and the dining area - perfect for keeping the conversation going while you're cooking.

The gardens

The Little House overlooks a 100'X100' lawn where you can have the most epic picnics.

Along the back of the property runs a seasonal creek. Depending on the recent rainfall, you can observe deer having a morning drink, go for a brisk swim, and search for salamanders.

You'll hear (and likely see) owls, jackrabbits, foxes, birds, and of course, crickets. See the stars at night and wake to glowy mountain fog.

Stoney Bottom's most impressive feature is the land. There is nothing quite like walking around the property with a glass of wine in hand and discovering the agave garden, a baby redwood grove, giant bamboo, an edible garden, 65 kinds of trees, over 100,000 flowering spring bulbs, and so very much more.

Guest access

Easily let yourself in and out of the gate with your own private parking spot in front of the house.

Other things to note

FURNITURE: We are updating some of the furniture, so enjoy a new look coming soon.

PETS: You are welcome to bring a well-behaved pet when added to the booking form. One is great, though anymore, please confirm with us first. We ask that you pick up your pet's waste and put it in the outdoor trash. We have bags should you need them. There is a fee of $45 per dog.

KIDDOS: During the colder months there is a gas "faux" wood stove in the master bedroom, so please be careful of the little ones.

During warmer months this isn't an issue since you won't be short on heat here in the valley.

We have a Guava travel crib available for tiny travelers. If you need it, just ask.

You'll be close to restaurants, tasting rooms & shopping, but have all of the charm you'd expect from the countryside. Parking throughout the town of Boonville is easy.
